It’s snowing
I searched through the books on the bookshelf and started a new book last night. Some other travelers and I were talking about it on the train so I was excited to find it in the Dunker’s collection, Into Thin Air. I can’t seem to put it down and it is making me even more excited for a potential future thrilling hike.
This morning I woke up and everything was covered with snow. I’ve always thought snow makes everything more beautiful. Another reason why I need to move.
The Dunkers live in a gorgeous area. Basel is somewhat small, peaceful, and quiet and surrounded by mountains and trees. This afternoon I went out to an area near them that has many different hiking/running trails with obstacle courses. It felt so good to be running in the cool crisp air. And running with nothing but mountains, trees, vineyards, and small cabins surrounding you makes for more enjoyment. As I laid on a log doing some random exercise I looked up and through the tall trees was the bright sun shining through and snow starting to fall on my face. My face lit up as I continued to look up at the picture above me.
