Our Leaving BBQ
Tuesday, August 28th, 2007
Pete writes: So the weather man had kept his promise and the sky was clear with a nice bbq temperature to match.
The day started with both Chloe and I waking with a foggy head and the realization that we had 20 guests arriving in 3 hours and we had yet to clean, tidy and go and fetch the food!
So we set off on our mission.. Luckily we had Jim and Alex on hand to help out on the home made burgers and garden re-arrangement.
By 4pm we had just tucked into our starters (chicken kebab) and we were well on our way with the liquid refreshment
I would just like to comment on how nice the burgers were and the 2nd punch that definitely hit the spot. The hot cider was mighty fine as well especially when the sun had disappeared and the temp dropped.
I think I finally passed out at 3am with the numbing feeling of what lay in store for us the following day. PACKING UP!
