Drinking From The Ganges

I have left India over six weeks ago and am still writing about it (well just finished my final entry for India- now I must conquer Nepal).  I have also ‘come and gone’ from China, as of yesterday.  I have just arrived In Sa Pa, Vietnam!  Clearly I am very, very, behind in my blog, but I hope to catch up in the near future.  I just wanted to make a quick note as to a change in my travel itinerary.  Prior to setting out my travels I did not intend to visit Australia, but have since changed my plans.  I plan on flying to Melbourne, Australia on December 20th, which means I will spend Christmas and New Years In Australia!  I met many great Australians during my trip, as a result I have been persuaded into visiting (didn’t take much to talk me into going to another country)…..so off to Australia i go!

I remember sitting in a 401k meeting in November 2007 (three months prior to leaving for my round the world trip).  The 401k meeting presented the usual information, “Invest more now, because you will need more later, Pay yourself first’ (all good advice).  However, during this particular 401k meeting, the 401k representative left a lasting impression on me or rather a lasting phrase.  The representative said several times (about five times) throughout the course of the hour long meeting, “I invest more now, because when I retire, I want to travel”.
