Buenos Aires, AR
Thursday, February 28th, 2008Eating my way through B.A…beef, beef and more beef! So, I have arrived as you can see! I´ve been in the capital of Argentina for three days. On my first day of arrival, I started with a steak for lunch and a steak for dinner (making up for 17 years of being a vegetarian)! Argentina is known for some tasty beef. All the beef is free-range and grass feed, which makes for some scrumptiously-delicious cows! Argentines traditionally ´grill their meats on a BBQ. On my second night in B.A. i went to an all you can eat buffet. The buffet was a traditional ´mixed grill,´ which includes various grilled meats. I had a plate of chorizo (spicy sausage), steak, ribs, small intestines, large intestines, and blood sausage.
I also, visted ´Cementerio De La Recoleta,´in an area called Recoleta (one of the weathlist areas of B.A.). The cemetary has some of the most extravagate crypts. Most of the ´departed´where once the elite of Argentina-presidents, military heroes, politicians, etc. One elite in particular who is buried in the cemetary is Eva Peron (Evita) and her husband.
I have much more to write about, however i am off to a Tango Show. I will write and upload pictures soon. Until then….stay tune!
