Hey kids. I just wanted to be the first person to comment on your blog. I can’t wait to read all about your adventures, write short stories about them and claim them as my own experiences. If you keep me on your wedding invite list, I’ll throw you a royalties check as a thank you…

  2. Scott Says:

Let me clear up something first, you are both really BIG DORKS. How many engagement parties can you have before you actually set a date? She is playing you Todd you big sucker! Have a safe and happy trip.

    Scott

  3. Andy Says:

Thank God we got rid of those two! Just kidding. I can’t wait to hear about the adventures. We’ll miss you two…again.

  4. Brandon Says:

What a couple of dorks! Todd, I think you should just dedicate this Blog to talking about Fantasy Football instead of some silly RTW trip.

    I love you Lisa!

    Tell Vietnam I said, “Wassup.”

  5. Vance Says:

    Toad,
The trip thing sounds really cool…Kato will be contacting you from West Point VA Garage Operations Base…along with input from Johnny Blaze…AKA JOHNNIE BLIZZAZE…
Have fun…talk soon…tell Lisa look forward to seeing you both in May…haha..

  6. Nikki Says:

Have a safe and fun trip! When is someone going to get a damn job! I am adoptable! Holdin’ it down at Wrightsville Beach. Love You Two…

  7. Emily Says:

yeah… see you this weekend in NYC for lift-off!! Now I will have to figure out how to say “safe travels” in all those languages.. perjalanan aman! (that one can wait until Feb. in Bali)

  8. Cece Says:

In my next life, I am going to come back as Todd!!! What is Lisa doing to him???? Marry a nice southern girl who will cook, clean, have a nice home for you and help you in your work. This “yankee girl” won’t feed him or give him a nice comfortable bed. Instead, she makes Todd carry all his wordly possions around on his back and makes him walk for 10 months!! Am I missing something!!!!? Have a great trip….will miss you’ll muchly…..look forward to your safe return.

  9. BAIRDS Says:

    Hey you lovebirds..

ya…sorry we missed you …however in our hearts… always…be safe and enjoy cuz you have your health and youth…

trust me…moving around when you get older…a major deal

    so …keep on movin !!

we’ll be thinking of you…and stay in touch…

    aloha!!!

  10. David Says:

Hey wait a minute! Cece got it all wrong. Lisa was a quiet home body until she met this wild man from “The South”. In the North, we warn girls about these Southerners in grade school, but Lisa never paid attention. I always told her to pay more attention in school…now she is paying the price.

I miss you two already….but I also am green with envy…so have a great trip

    Love you

  11. Ben Says:

    Aunt Lisa and Uncle Tiggs-
I’ll miss you guys…hopefully I’ll be walking by the time you get back.

  12. Lou Says:

Notherners, Southerners, what differenc does it make! These Americans are all crazy as far as I am concerned.

Maybe this trip will teach you about the real world ( although I can’t help but notice you will not even make it to Scandinavia) !

Have a great adventure out there !

  13. Elena Says:

I guess it’s my own fault for not staying in touch, which might have let me know in advance what my dearest cuz was intending before she grabbed her fiancĂ© and took off for a whirlwind round-the-globe adventure. But I have to say, since I found out about the trip not from the travelers themselves but from the usual sources (i.e., family gossip), I’m finding the whole thing a bit bewildering. Maybe somebody reading this blog can answer the question at the heart of my confusion: If this is Lisa and Todd’s idea of a pleasant manner in which to while away the tedious months of their engagement, what on earth can they be planning for a honeymoon?

  14. Eva Says:

I just wanted to let everyone know that it’s official, Lisa & Todd have started their journey…right now they are in route to JFK…let the fun begin!!!
Have a great time guys, see you in India.
    love & miss you already!!!!

  15. Ed Says:

Bon voyage! You have a place to stay in Budapest anytime — cheap flights from Germany!

  16. Arwen Says:

hmmm, well, I think we may have lost them somewhere in London. Still waiting for the americans to arrive…

My apologies to everyone if this city has swallowed them.

And, HI BEN!!!! Can’t wait to meet you!

  17. Adrienne Says:

Just for the record — Southern girls can cook, clean, have their own work, help their man/woman/children in their work — AND travel round the world. And we won’t even talk about what CANADIAN girls can do — at least not until our Canadian girl in London finds the already missing travelers!

  18. Erik Says:

Just wanted to wish you guys well in your travels. I am so anxious to hear about how things are going as you make your trip around the world!!!

  19. Sally Says:

It was a real blast meeting you and spending time, athough brief, getting to know you. Who would have known that you had the Rekosh/Kleinberg sence of adventure! Good for you! We wish you guys and excellent adventure. Be safe!

    Love from Long Island

  20. Beth Says:

Why would Lisa need to cook and clean for a man when she found one to do it for her (if only every mom were like you, Cece)?? Toddie–use that southern charm to get Lisa outta trouble when she uses that New York attitude abroad, k? MAUI SAYS ALOHA (and so do I)!! XOXOXO

  21. Administrator Says:

Lisa’s grandmother and grandfather (Opa and Oma) used to say that you should visit the world whenever and as soon as you can. Things change so quickly that some country is likely to become McDonaldized before you have a chance to visit and experience the real culture, hear the language and music, taste the food, and sit on a filthy bus with treadless tires and dead chickens and pigs. So I’m glad you two are following tradition, and getting out there now! We’ll all miss you, but at least you’ve got us all rooting for you through this terrific blog. Stay safe and healthy, and have a great time! Love you two, Mom

  22. Momma Judy Says:

Great, I go in as Administrator! Let’s set the record straight, so to speak. This is MOM, and along with Cece, we are the one(s) and only(s)! So scratch the Administrator name (Lisa, you musta done this when you were here!), and now you know you pressed the button twice… How come we haven’t heard from the weary travelers? Are y’all lost in London?

  23. David Says:

My spies in London tell me that the two have been spotted on Islington High Street by the Angel tube stop, so I guess they made it there.

  24. Tommy Says:

Lisa - I hope you are getting a separate bathroom for the stretch in India, those of us who grew up with Todd can only imagine the horror.

Awesome idea with the blog you two; stay safe and merry and don’t let Todd trick you into too many back massages Lis.

  25. jim,dad Says:

it sure did not take you long to connect with the police.have a great time love dad.

  26. Amy Says:

Glad ya’ll had a good time in London. This blog thing is really cool! Please keep the pictures and updates coming! Have fun in the Motherland….L’chaim!

  27. Adrienne Says:

I don’t know WHO spoke for me but lets get real…we know what the Johnson boys will be doing for the next 30, 40, 50 years….whatever Lisa and I ask them to do!!! ;)

Safe travels to both of you…don’t get into too much trouble and have fun for all of us working stiffs! Cheers!!

  28. Anna Says:

    Hey!

Just wanted to say hi and to wish you best of luck on your travels around the world!

    Hugs.

  29. Jen and Brett Says:

What an awesome adenture you two have embarked on. We think about you and hope you have a safe trip. oh, p.s. We are engaged as of 8/19/05. hooray!

  30. Andy Says:

This is not Andy, but Joel. Looks and sounds like you are having a great trip. I miss you and look forward to seeing you upon returning to the states. I do not check the email very often because we are not hooked up at the present time. We (Karyn and I) have been busy painting and remodeling our new home. I send you blessing for safety, happiness and peace along your journey. I love you and look forward to reading more about your journey and hearing and seeing pictures upon returning to the real world.

  31. Diane Garner Says:

Todd and Lisa, I agree with Cece. In my next life, I’m either coming back as Todd or Brad!!! Where did I go wrong?? I look at all these great pictures and have to live vicariously through your travels!! Seriously — I think it’s wonderful that you can travel now. Enjoy every minute of it!! Love reading your BLOG. Keep us posted with the details!!

  32. rachy pants Says:

The adventure is just beginning! India will be great. Just don’t take any wooden nickels. I don’t think they have Crunchberries in India, though. Good luck, be safe, and know that you are missed.

  33. Ty and Cara Says:

Hey! Finally figured this whole website out. Now we are pumped that we can see where all you two have been. Hope you are having a great trip. We are about to look at all the things you have posted now. It was great to meet you two. We hope to see more of you guys in the future. You newly found cousins!

    Take care!

  34. Diane Garner Says:

Well - Todd and Lisa……. I feel like I’ve just visited a travel agency and sat and browsed through some travel brochures!! I’m green with envy, but I’m really enjoying seeing your pictures and reading your stories. Thanks for taking the time to keep us posted!! We will all expect a big PARTY when you get back! By the way, I like Todd’s new “clean-shaven” look. Todd - you look like you’re about 20!!
