6 Bottles of Berenburg

Friday, February 24th, 2006

I’ve arrived in Holland, and I’m staying with my buddy Bert. Robert and Sjoerd are here. We’ve got 6 1-liter bottles of Berenburg, my favorite Frisian liquor. Two or three are already down for the count. We’re talking to our Finnish friend Henni on Skype. The night will be really great… glad to be back… I’m at my second home again.

In Germany

Thursday, February 23rd, 2006

Hello, faithful readers!  I am in Bremen, Germany in the north of Germany visiting my old roommate (from Holland) and good friend Sylvia.  I spent a day and a half visiting my friend Christina in Munich.  I’ve been eating lots of good German and Turkish food.  Sausages, Bavarian noodles with turkey and mushrooms, pretzels, and of course a kabob.  Off to Leeuwarden tomorrow.  That’s where I studied 2 years ago as an exchange student.  The boys are meeting me at the train station… well, at least Bert is supposed to be there.  Bring on the Berenburg!  Bring on the party!
