I know - right?? I never saw the old ones. I still haven't even seen the first series with Christopher Eccleston yet, but series 2 was completely brilliant (btw - series 2 won the BAFTA for best drama, which is the emmy equivilant). I think it's because David Tennant is a classically trained actor. He used to work at the RSC, and he's returning next year to play Hamlet.

Well, that and they've got really great writers like Stephen Moffat working for them. Plus, I really like how the end of each season brings in bits of all of the previous episodes. It's very clever the way they manage it.

Oh - and re: Billie Piper - I don't know Rose's whole story (not having seen the first series yet), but I get the sense she's supposed to be somewhat lower class.

I really like David Tennant as Dr. Who! He's geeky and weird and hot all at the same time...Billie what's her face is OK, but honestly, I wish she'd tone down her mascara! Anyway, I never used to like Dr. Who (I've seen it off-and-on for years) but this latest incarnation has me turning in every week. And by "latest incarnation", I mean David Tennant....

How totally bizarre. I can get them sometimes, and I can get them if I enter in the addy. Weirdness - it seems to be following the link that did it.

Ah well. I found the photos here:
The first is on this page: http://rudeandnotginger.net/two/gallery.php?id=13 the first in the second row

the second is: http://rudeandnotginger.net/two/gallery.php?id=3 the last on the second row

and the third is: http://rudeandnotginger.net/two/gallery.php?id=5 the second one in on the 5th row. Although the one next to it has a good shot of the coat in silhouette.

Dr. Who. Where's what I got:

"Thief / Direct linking is wrong. Please save this image to your own server and stop stealing my bandwidth. Thank you!"

The URL for the message I got is:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v156/exit47/directlink.gif

And CGI can be quite wonderful, I agree. I just was so impressed with the beauty and detail of the old cartoons.

Umm.... that's odd. I checked all the links after posting, and again just now, and I didn't get any error messages. Maybe it's your computer? Which ones aren't working for you?

I think CGI done well can be great - look at Finding Nemo. It really depends more on the skill of the animator than the medium, I think.

Hi, honey! A couple of your links don't work. You get an error message accusing theft of bandwidth. Weird.

Those old cartoons are AMAZING! To think they did it all with cels. Better than lots of CGI....

How about these two (hallowe'en) ditties:

So do do that voodoo that you do so well... (Cole Porter) and

That old black magic has me in its spell;
That old black magic that you do so well;
Those icy fingers up and down my spine;
That same old witchcraft when your eyes meet mine...

and

Witchcraft (as sung by Frank Sinatra) and

I look at you and suddenly;
Something in your eyes I see;
Soon begins bewitching me!
It's that old devil moon;
That you stole from the skies;
It's that old devil moon in your eyes....
