Always check if the airport is 24 hours before you plan to stay there overnight to catch the disgustingly early flight.

National Portrait Gallery

There are pigeons that perch on you in front of the gallery. I suppose they are considered a nuisance but I adore them.

I wander through the National Gallergy, my eye caught by the occasional painting. Art is a funny thing, you never know which piece will capture your attention or strike a note with you. The richness of color and life in one, the tribute to the ancient greeks gods in another. The glint in the eye of some stuffy looking aristocrat.

At the National Protrait Gallery next store is the Bluestocking exhibit that I had found about online in Florida. It was a facinating glimpse at an era and group of women who helped shape the feminist movement.

The other parts of the gallery were also interesting, a wise range of medium were used to show people off.
