Onwards Travels through the Mediterranean.

Alright, I’ll make this quick since we’re doing a whirlwind tour, and have no clue where we’re about to land. After flying from london, and another night in paris, we went down to Avignon. We planned to spend a day there, but all the French Train workers went on strike, making our time in the town a bit longer than we expected. So we hopped the next bus (which left at 3:30 in the morning) to Torino, Italy and abandoned our plans to visit Nice and Monaco since there was no way to get there.

We then took a train and ended up in the the tiny (I mean one-street long windy street tiny) villa of Biassa, near La Spezia. We then took the next two days to hike in the Cinque Terre National Park, which are five tiny little villages on the Italian coast connected by a hiking trail of somewhere between 10-18km. We don’t know exactly, since everything we’ve read has given us different numbers.  We spent the night in Vernazza along the way before heading back to Biassa. The restaurant in Biassa has the most inexpensive delicious pesto either of us have had, so if you end up there, we highly recommend it, and you’ll go cause its one of the only places to eat in the town too.

We are now in Firenze (aka Florence) after visting Pisa this afternoon. Tomorrow we head on to Rome, and then by friday we go to Greece. We’re flying through this area pretty quick, so we might be a little slow to post. But we are alive, somewhat tired, and really enjoying ourselves.

We hope to get pictures put up online, but we’re still trying to figure out how to upload the 4000-5000 or so we’ve taken. And we keep taking more. So please everyone be patient with us. And Iggy, we’ll be putting up more maps when we get a breather from our travels, so hold on there buddy! (There’s also been a bit of a problem with a few of them, so we’re also trying to figure that out before we make more that don’t work)
