To show Eero how to do it! 

Eero wants to thank everyone who’s sent along wishes to get better. It really does help knowing that everyone is cheering for him instead of for the toyota that hit him. And to honor a few requests of seeing that he is truly recovering, we’re showing him trying one of the fine beers from Mac’s Brewery in Wellington (aka doing physio).

Moving on from Nelson

So Sarah and I moved on from Nelson after spending about a week and a half in the Nelson Hospital after the accident, and almost another week in the Altrusa House, a guest house of Hospital for patient’s family and such. But the doctors gave me the all clear, so we started heading back to the North Island. We did spend an extra day making some bone carving pendants, which was quite difficult using only one hand. Although much slower, I finished along with everyone else. We drove along Queen Charlotte Sound to get to Picton and enjoyed a leisurely Ferry ride to Wellington, where we spent the next day exploring the Te Papa Museum and Mac’s Brewery/pub next door. Mmmmmm!

We’re hangin out in Masterton now, staying with Sarah’s Relatives. We plan to base ourselves out of Masterton for a bit while I heal up some more and to see the dentist to get my teeth fixed. Here is an X-ray photo of my new improved bionic (316 stainless steel) arm.

Finally out of the hospital!
