What Happens When Buses Aren’t On-time in Argentina
Wednesday, May 30th, 2007Yikes!!!!!
I did finally, though a bit aprehensively (I get a bit apprehensive when spending large amounts of money), buy a plane ticket to Milano. So I fly into the fashion capital of the world tomorrow at around 4:30pm into rain. Not fun. But oh well. Anyways, I’m way too excited about Italy. So I booked 2 nights in Milano to study high fashion and the art of gift wrapping chocolate, and depending on how it is I might stay longer. Either way I am going to Torino on Sunday or Monday and will meet up with Alice and Betta, two friends I met in Madrid. After Torino, I want to go to Genoa, Cinque Terre (not Chinko Terra), and eventually all of Toscana!
So Italy is suppose to have Spain’s eccentricities x3. The traffic and manic driving is suppose to be 3x as bad, the people 3x as loud and talkative and argumentative, the noise pollution is suppose to be 3x as bad, and the whole place is suppose to look as orderly as a 4th grader’s backpack. I’m excited!
But besides that recent event, a lot of cool things have happened here in Barcelona. As for the nightlife, I haven’t been going out that much. Well the bar and social scene downstairs is really great so I’ve been hanging out downstairs drinking the cheap beer on tap. But I’ve also haven’t been napping that much so I’m kinda going to bed early. I did finally go out last night with 3 Brasilians and 3 Canadiens, but the night ended very quickly. Other than that, I have 4 new roommates, all of which are girls and all of which won’t SHUT UP! Besides being extremely messy with their clothes and what not, they gossip and talk and complain like most typical American girls. What a tragedy…to have looks and form, yet be as annoying as hell. Well that’s just one, small annoyance compared to the amount of fun and experience I’m having.
…talk to ya from Italy… ![]()
