Romania: Arad; The Wine Festival (Oct 20-21)

Every fall, Arad is home to the Wine Festival. Taking place in Avram Iancu Square, right in the center of the town, the festival offers a lot of wines to be tasted and bought, a wine contest…a lot of food and music. Sprinkle this with the popular President Traian Basescu and you get a huge crowd and a lot of noise.

I like right in that square and i must tell you it’s not funny to have to work with all the Romanian folk music and speeches going in the background.

Last year I met a former university colleague at this Festival. He works at a winery in our county and it was nice to taste what they make. I have to check out what’s up at the festival this year. But i will go when the music stops:))
