Groundhog Day a la Romania!:)
OK some friends of mine made a bit of fun of the Romanian Bear…let me explain it!
US has the groundhog we have the bear.
So on Feb 2, the bear goes out of the den and checks the weather.
IF it’s sunny, he sees its shadow and goes back in the den for another 6 weeks of winter.
IF it’s cloudy, we are going to have an early spring.
Unfortunately, although for most of the day it was cloudy, right at sunrise…the bear could see its shadow. So…six more weeks for winter for us! BoooHooo
Obviously when i started to talk to my US friends abt our bear they told me abt their groundhog (btw: i knew abt it anyway LOL).
No matter how we look at it, it doesn’t look like spring is coming earlier…BoooHooo
