Now that accommodation and transport are set…I also need..

Now that my accommodation and transport for Vienna are set I also need to:

*get my passport; although we can use our ID cards to travel anywhere in the EU zone, it’s better to have it wt you;

*get travel insurance; instead of spending 2 weeks getting the national insurance card from the company where hubby works, i prefer to pay a small fee for travel insurance; after all i have sold such things myself lol

*plan the budget and start saving EUROS.

*don’t forget to save Forint as well since we need to pay road tolls in Hungary (and the only currency accepted there is the Forint)

*get a 1 GB memory card for the camera

*activate roaming on our cells

*plan the sightseeing days ; allow 1-2 days to visit Schonnbrunn (spelling?)

*visit a bit of Budapest on the way back?!

How long does it take to book a room? 3 days and 11 emails

….explaining what you prefer in ENGLISH to a person living in a non-English country is HARD!

…telling them that you MIGHT want to change the HOUR of arrival -which is OK according to their site- is HARD to get for some

…confirming in the text of the email doesn’t exactly mean it’s booked b/c they keep asking ARE YOU REALLY COMING?!?!

Yes, I’m already frustrated but i’m plugging along ….I need those darn rooms!

But a well placed phone call did the trick! So guys, don’t be shy and phone:) It doesn’t take long and yes, they do speak English:) I guess it’s harder in writing HeHe
