A journey to places and time

I'm Cristina. I write. I travel. I eat. And I'm hungry for more. I see life as a journey and enjoy my journeys in life.

Starting to get excited…

July 22nd, 2008

I’m sort of afraid to…mostly b/c last time I was VERY excited only to find out that my friends let me down. No, they cannot now…and I already talked to hubby’s boss and he said hubby’s getting the vacation…as for my work , I can manage it…

However, I’m a bit afraid to be “that” excited….and I’m even reluctant to do the research needed [like walking tours and such]…most likely I’ll be doing that 2-3 days before we leave and certainly AFTER I book the train ticket.

Hubby’s way more excited than I am though ….which is awesome. It can be our “second honeymoon” :) the first was in Budapest, last year.

Vienna: Aug 17-22

July 21st, 2008

Yes, I reserved a room at DoStepInn for 22 euros/person/night.

I’ve also looked up trains and they arrive right near the hostel (well it’s at 3 min walking distance). Best of all, the hostel is nicely located at abt 30 min walk from the center.

We are going to buy the Vienna Card for both of us (me and hubby) b/c of the discounts offered.

Our “friends” are staying at a 3 star hotel little down the street , at the same distance from the center and will pay over 350 euros for their 5 nights stay.

Here’s the map where those 2 hotels are:

Remember my post?

The national road is open again for tourists. The views are magnificent and totally worth it. Just check the forecast to avoid bad weather.

WOW It’s been ages

July 4th, 2008

It’s been ages since I posted in my blog. And come to think about it I write daily for work but never find the time to write on my own blog…go figure.

Now let’s try to give you updates…just celebrated 1 yr since I’ve been member of BootsnAll community.. Shhh I haven’t even told my boss [ups, forgot lol]

We (finally) changed the furniture and flooring in our apartment. Feels awesome but now i feel like we should stay home during our next vacation. Hubby’s off in Aug (don’t know the dates yet) and I’m working towards some free days myself …so we’ll see. We’ve got plenty of stuff to do right near home or right over the boarder, so that won’t be a problem.

Meantime, we are boiling here …

Are you Green?

May 19th, 2008

I was happy to read that the Times (British), in its weekend edition, recommends Transylvania instead of the Turkish resorts.

Vacation May 17 to 21

May 13th, 2008

Well, it’s final. We are leaving on Sat evening. Going to Bucharest and then to Calarasi. Our plans include either a “hop” over the border to Bulgaria or visiting Constanta. Either way, it will be a nice break.

Oh yeah and I do have Internet access there so I’ll probably post some updates :)
