Last year, when I did the transsibirian railway, the same thing happened in the tramway in Irkutsk (Russia) to me. I felt helpless like never before and thougt I wouldn´t find a way out of that situation. But other backpackers and the good service of the credit-card-companies helped me to solve the problem and I could do the whole trip as planned. Your blog is very interesting!
