It’s possible to visit St Helena - and the at least equally mysterious Ascension Island. How to get there: by taking the Royal Mail ship. An airport is in the planning, which will make St Helena more accessible - but a slow, dreamy boat journey - I so want to go. Now, to get the kids to spend 31 days on board a boat… hm…
