Thailand’s Boring and I Haven’t Eaten for Days
Not really. It’s anything but boring and I’m averaging 4 meals a day, not including snacks.
I haven’t blogged in weeks mostly because I was either in areas that have poor internet connections or because I didn’t want to spend the final days of my journey in front of a computer. Thailand is also such a familiar place to me that it doesn’t seem all that exciting. I’m afraid I’d bore you. I haven’t even taken any pictures for a week. I felt like I was home as soon as I walked off of the plane, but when Jessica and Lalo arrived in Bangkok, I really felt like I was home. Almost like I had never left.
Here are some pictures from our first few days in Bangkok.

Lalo and Jessica getting their feet washed pre-two-hour-10-dollar-amazing-massage.

We ate a lot of rice and drank a lot of $1.50 Absolut and Tonics

We spent a lot of time in taxis because traffic in Bangkok is ridiculous but they’re really cheap and air conditioned and they come in lots of fun colors like hot pink and orange.

We met up with friends for drinks…

And crashed house parties with our good friend, Zrs…

And mixed original drinks in Christmas mugs…

And then we went to the after hours club and danced…

Then Jessica had to go home way up North and Lalo and I went to the island of Samet, about 3 hours East of Bangkok

We bought something from almost every food vendor that walked by…

And we relaxed. To the sound of the waves, under a full moon, happy to be home.

So, you have NOT been kidnapped by a Thai bandit king. Just kidnapped by friends and cheap liquor! And probably putting back on all the weight I am sure you lost while training at the Jackie Chan Institute of Kung Fu Ass-Kicking.

Happy to see you’re still kicking in Thailand! As usual, beautiful pictures with incredible scenery and fun friends. Hope to see you soon in picturesque Middle America. I will be taking classes in QiGong - not quite Kung Fu but great for us “oldies but goodies.”
