It has been raining for about as long as I can remember. It stops, I think the sun is about to come out, and then it starts drizzling again. What happened to the beautiful weather we had in Spain? Ever since Austria we have had a run of bad luck with weather. I don’t think my hair has ever been this frizzy in my life.
I have to make an amendment to what I said about Bratislava the other day. After spending a day walking around and seeing the historical old city, I have to say that it is actually quite a pretty city, at least in that specific area. We spent the day visiting museums that ranged from free and boring, to expensive and boring, but the city’s historical museum was really interesting. It told the story of Bratislava’s history from prehistoric times until the near present. I say near, because for some reason they decided to wrap up their modern history with the end of WWII. I was waiting to see something about the Cold War era, but there was absolutely nothing. I was struck by the huge historical gap that the museum left open. In Berlin there was so much information I couldn’t process it all, but in Bratislava–nothing at all.
