Hello G.I

Thai massage is a little like Thai food - fantastic, cheap and little painful if you're not used to it. I'd had a Thai massage from a friend when we were living in the Hostel in New Zealand (Hi Lil) so I knew what to expect, however we were in Bangkok and the room we had booked on the net had mirrors everywhere and some sort of weird bondage cross in the corner (it also had a list of rules no alcohol or drugs, no smoking or eating in the room, freaky deaky sex apparently was fine) The thought of getting a massage here was a little scary... what if they tried to touch me? My fears were not helped by my first solo walk along the street we were living. Walking through Bangkok as a couple we only had to contend with tuk tuk drivers, beggars, street stall holders, tailors (i don't want a freaking suit alright) and the occasional con-man posing as a charity collector. Walking down the street by myself I had girls (i think they were anyway) waving at me and yelling "you want massage?" from the opposite side of the street. Was there any such thing as a legitimate massage in Bangkok? Were they going to assume that I was some kind of pervert? I had heard to stay away from the hairdressers as the shampoo and blow dry had a whole different meaning over here. All these thoughts and more were echoing through my mind as I eased my battle weary frame through the door of the least seedy looking place offering a traditional Thai Massage for about $6 bucks an hour. I needn't have worried, the Thai women who massaged me had a son my age and was calling me "Baby Boy". The massage was great, but I felt like I missed out on something so the next night I got drunk and had a haircut (only 2 bucks for a short back and sides).

I know what you mean...about legit massages. I wonder myself what are farang's in this town looking for. I will keep in mind that some like you are looking the other way...

Didn't you pack enough film. I was getting a lot of enjoyment from the photos, but now they've stopped.
