Hello everybody. I have changed my travel plans yet again so thought I'd better let you all know whats going on!

I intended to leave New Zealand on November 4th and fly to Singapore then make my own way to Kuala Lumpur. I was going to stay for a few days in each place and then travel to an island in Thailand - spend 10 days there and then onto Bangkok for the remaining days before flying home on the 1st December Sounds fabulous doesn't it? Well, I'm not going anymore!!

Almost 3 months ago, I applied to Emirates Airline as cabin crew. I hadn''t heard anything and presumed I had been unsuccessful. However, on Saturday I received an e-mail inviting me to an open day on 26th November, The open day is basically an interview with a lot of team building and role playing etc. This means I have passed the first stage of the recruitment process. If I'm successful at the open day then I have to be available for the rest of that week formore interviews. It is too good an opportunity to miss and there are no other open days schedulded for the UK that I would be able to attend. So I have decided to stay on in Auckland indefinitely, I'm still working at the Occidental and my visa is valid until Christmas. I will probaly apply to extend my work visa now.
Although I'm disappointed to be missing out on my Asia trip and not being home for Christmas - Emirates are a fabulous company to work for and I really want this job!

Will keep everyone posted as soon as I have more news and all keep your fingers crossed for me! Have to go out and buy a suit now!
