THE BIG DAY!

Hi everyone,
Thank you for all the good wishes! The webpage seems to have trouble refreshing at the moment, so I hope that you get to see this page eventually!

So yesterday started off as any normal day here, great breakfast and some relaxation. Around 1pm the nerves kicked in as we started to get ready for.... our wedding!!
Our getting ready was halted by the hotel maids taking over our room to turn it into a honeymoon style suite with heart shaped pillows, millions of roses and rose petals and chocolates in heart shaped boxes!
Jono went down to the main area of the hotel that was being turned into our main wedding area and I ran around a bit grabbing some red roses to make my bouquet. I was a very good bride and ready exactly on time, but unfortunately the ecuadorian official wasn't so I was hid behind reception for half an hour!
With two minutes to go I was introduced to my surprise flower girls who showed me up with their beautiful hair dos and fancy dresses, I suspect they may have spent a little longer getting ready than I did! The hotel gardens were decorated especially for the day and it all looked amazing as I walked up the aisle. Up at the top we got down to business round the table. First Carol said some words welcoming us and introduced Brian O'Leary. We were so excited to have Brian at our wedding, we had read his books the last time we had stayed here in Vilcabamba and to actually meet him was ace! We'll update this entry soon with his speech transcribed from our video of the day. It was then the official registrars turn and we had Silvia translating, so the video then looks like a bit of a tennis match with me and Jono looking backwards and forwards between both of them! Then it was time to exchange the rings, and we waited patiently for someone to say you may now kiss the bride, but when they didn't we went for it anyway. We had a million things to sign, then we were done!
Mr and Mrs Atkinson!!
Afterwards we went to Carol and her ace husband Jons house for champagne and cake and to gasp at the amazing view from their front room. In our stylee wedding car we then went to Brians house to check out his equally amazing view.
Got back to the hotel and snuck in some trampoline action before dinner.

Hi you two, it's Tracey's mate from Leicester (met you a few times, Siobhan's been to my house). You both look amazing and the wedding photos are lovely. Everyone in my office has been looking at them and being very jealous. All the best for your future together and have an excellent time travelling. I'll keep checking out the site for updates.
It'll be Miss Foxon's wedding soon!
