Hi Everyone, This may be my last entry in this journal although I will probably fill out some of the previous entries a little more as sometimes there just wasn't time to fully say what I wanted to say. I've been home for 3 days now and have to go back to work tomorrow. It will be strange to return to work after having been gone so long. It will be very good to see Chantha though, I've missed him especially. :) We are taking Sean down to Corvallis for college sometime later today. It's going to be weird to have so much change in so little time. Only a few days ago we were speeding along on motorcycles under a hot summer-like sun around Cambodia, and suddenly we are back at home where the air is foggy and starting to turn crisp and cold, turning toward fall. We both knew it would be like this, but neither Sean nor I wanted to think about it the whole time we were there. The days in Cambodia just melted together and passed so quickly. Almost every day we got up early and went to bed late at night, totally exhausted. It was wonderful. I hope one day I can go back to Cambodia. I have to say that I hope to because there are so many things in life you intend to do and then for whatever reason they just don't happen. But I really do hope to go back and spend more time there. In my heart of hearts if given the opportunity I would love to live and work there for an extended period of time, maybe with the Peace Corps or some other job that would help the people of Cambodia. The Khmers are wonderful people. Even when they hardly have anything themselves, they gave to us freely as was the case when Sean and I met Him and Cheas' families. I will never forget their hospitality and warm smiles. Comments
