Sorry...so I know it seems as if I have fallen off the face of the earth...but really I have only been out on the lonely seas! Difficult to keep in touch landing in a port for only 6 hours sometimes...but here is a fast update as to where I have been in the last month and a half since I last checked in!

First stop after Tokyo was Shanghai...in a few words, freezing cold, rainy, delicious food, and a cold two days of grey sky there. Next stop was a bit warmer Danang, Vietnam...a nice day spent there running around with a local girl named Nguyen...a young environmentalist NGO leader...ran to her home, ate some food, watched the locals start to celebrate the Tet New Year, and then off to the beach for a fast dip at China Beach. Next stop Singapore....I ran around all day like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get things accomplished like I actually lived there or something! Not too much sightseeing that day except to finish out the day drinking beer on the river side! Next off to India! Wow...an amazing port of smells, foods, sights, etc! Took a boat ride through the backwaters near Cochin. Ate way toooo much curry and drank copious amount of fresh juices! Yum! Hmmmm the food frenzy trend only continued out on our Kenyan Safari! We stayed at a wonderful lodge somewhere in Kenya...who knows where...but the food was amazing...went out on three game drives, saw tons of giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions, and even a lion family eating a dead buffalo! So exciting!!!! Then off to Eritrea again...played Peace Ball soccer for 6 hours and back on the boat to sail through the Suez Canal. Poured rain all day unfortunately. Landed in Egypt and hot trotted it off to the pyramids again and then I went in to the Cairo Museum and saw the mummies and King Tut! Ate too many falafales of course! Then off to Libya to eat more falafales! That was a cool place. Almost no tourists...and no tourist scene. Cool to walk around the old medina all day. Now I have spent the last two days running around Rome and dreaming of moving to Italy!!!!!! I love it here...as everywhere else too! Of couse there was tons of food to be eaten here...I know it is an eating trip...but what else are you suppossed to do in port for only a few hours!!!!
