November 22, 2003oh yeah
Well, apart from the GHG and Max not being here this is the perfect night - well, ok, I am ignoring the hangover, which is now improving - just standing back and watching, in awe, as everyone warms up and begins to tell the most incredible stories..... I think we owe the boots boys a massive slap on the back (note - not beer - they drink way toooooooo much anyway).....for their vision.... Philip Comments
Yes, according to the stories perusing around this room Waayyy waayy too much.... cheers, Hi everyone: I wish I could be there in person, but since I recently returned from Europe (having the great fortune of staying with Philip and Mummy and Max) and am leaving for Mexico next week, the budget just couldn't handle another flight this month. Anyway, I am there in spirit in more ways than one -- since I carried the absinthe to Philip from Prague. I had two bottles but one broke in my suitcase. When I drank the stuff with Stanislav in a local bar near the Zelivskeho metro stop there was no fancy spoon. They just poured it in a glass and you slugged it or sipped it. Since I've been back in Pennsylvania, I discovered a bottle of French stuff that is OK to sell here. But it is made from a different kind of wormwood. Instead of being neon green it is paler in color. It came with a spoon, but spoon or no spoon it still tastes nasty. So I think I will toast to the party with my favorite British ale, Old Speckled Hen. Here's to you all. . .Party On!!!! Posted by: Zelda on November 22, 2003 09:27 PMzelda,
we are going to raise a glass of the green stuff to you later... see ya next trip Philip Posted by: philip on November 22, 2003 11:14 PM |
