Hi! I'm traveling in New Zealand right now so I can't make the party, but I hope everyone has a good time! Drink a few beers for me anyway. As for a good travel story, I find that the Greyhound bus in the United States provides plenty of those. Riding the Greyhound in the US is not just a way to get from A to B, it is an experience all in itself. The first time I rode the 'hound, I was traveling from Reno, Nevada to Flagstaff, Arizona, which was supposed to be a 20 hour trip. I was traveling with my sister, although we didn't sit together, as the bus was too full. Around 5am in the morning, we had made our way to the desert of Arizona. Most of the people on the bus were trying to sleep, but one guy, who definitely was having some problems, started yelling at the people in front of him to mind their own business, or he would kill them. I think this came as a suprise to everyone, as, like I said before, most people were trying to sleep. So, a few people start asking the man if he is ok, and he yells at them to mind their own business as well. He then runs to the front of the bus and demands to be let off. The bus driver calls the police, and we wait on the side of the road for about an hour waiting for the man to come back to the bus. In the meantime the bus driver has us all fill out incident reports. Finally, the police put the man back on the bus, which really bothers some people. A woman stands up and tells everyone that this man tried to grab the steering wheel from the driver the last time he was on the bus with her. But, no need to worry, as all the guys in the front tell the driver that if the man tries that again, they "will kick his ass". Finally, we all arrive in Flagstaff in one piece (no ass kicking needed), leaving my sister and I happy that we had bought plane tickets to get us back to Massachusetts. Comments
