Stained Glass window in a newer Linea B station

Tile and tribute to the Virgin Mary - not quite the same concept of separation of Church and State here (the subte actually has been contracted out to a private operator anyway).

I dug this one - an old scale in the run-down Peru station. You insert a quarter to get your weight. They actually have free ones in all the pharmacies here.

This is actually the only non-underground part of the system - a single layup track that extends past the terminal station of Linea A (the track actually continues as a trolly track on the street, but it´s not used). I don´t know why there´s an old Peugot parked next to it.

A future station (Carabobo) being dug using the cut-and-cover method. All you foamers need to be jealous of me that I actually got to see this method being used.
