Model Behaviour

Evening!

Well sorry I havent written in AGES!! :-)
Anywho, now to catch up...

We've actually been doing quite a bit of sight-seeing within Mumbai, like on Tuesday we went to this Hindu Mosque Haji Ali, that was way out on a pier. Ito looked really nice, but the walk out was a bit of an experience! The walk-way was filled with some of the most deformed beggars I've seen since my stay here. It's very upsetting to see... and it a very crude reminder of the masses of poverty in Mumbai.
The mosque itself with amazing, although Camilla wasnt exactly suitably dressed, wearing a tank top with bright white skin and blonde hair. I was ok, as my skin is quite dark, I have black hair and I was covered quite well. But Camilla was feeling too uncomfortable so we left quite quickly.
On the walk back down, we stopped to take pictures and were approached by this adorable little girl.
She was a beggar but she was really sweet and posed for a picture. I gave her some money (which incidenatally was the last of my money for the day) and we continued our walk down the pier. When we stopped for juice at the end a lady came over and told us she was a photographer and asked if we'd model for her!
Wow
We exchanged number and loosely arranged to meet on thursday or something.
Also, at the road side, we got some Henna!
It was so funny because the lady had actuall stamps instead of drawing the pattern from scratch so I said I'd like it going down my wrist and onto my finger... so she completely went mad with it!!Putting it all over my hand, wrist, arm, palm, fingers, and then finishing with a band around my upper arm!! And by this time a crowd of people were circling infront of me watching (ooohing and aaaahing!!) :-) fun!
I was quite chuffed with the way it came out actually!

Afterwards we headed to this place were everyone does their washing... Dhobi Ghaat. That was quite cool to see... and it's exactly what I said... It's just loads of people doing all their washing!! :-)
Then we headed home (Rasika's) and slept for ages.... seriously... all this sight seeing.... :-)

Then yesterday (Thursday) we met Karina, who was the photographer we met and she took us to her studio... which was in some acadmey. It was really posh and cool looking so I got immediately all nervous :-) They started taking loads of pics... although I felt really self conscious... I dont really like getting my picture taken as it is, but to have about 10 people crowding round you staring at you and pointing a camera is somewhat daunting as it is!!
It was fun though! And the two photographers were so nice. Karina says I looked like Liz Hurley, which made me laugh and said I WISH! But all in all it was a good day. They told us to think about taking up modelling professionally but I really dont think I could handle that!!
They told us they'd give us print outs and cds when we get back to Mumbai after Goa, so thats cool! aslo they said they'd put some of the pics up on their site, which incidentally is: www.bhasinandsaif.com or www.aneeshbhasin.com
So that was cool.

We should be heading down to Goa in the next few days, probably Sunday. I'm really looking forward to that actually, should be good fun!
Also, we have word that one of our friends from School is travelling and he's in India now... so we will try to meet up with him soon!! and see if he wants to come down to Goa with us... if not? we'll get him drunk and take him anyways!!

Anywho, I've not been very healthy lately... mix of the food and water methinks... hopefully its nothing too serious.. and I'll get better soon!!

Until next time,
toodles!!
