I know it doesn't sound very exciting, but I'm going to Poland for 5 days next week. I am really looking forward to it, especially as it's the first time I'll be out of the Benelux this year. I just hope everything isn't going to be closed down now the pope died. But even if they do, there's plenty to see and do outside in Warsaw. Hopefully the weather will be nice.

Here are my plans, roughly:

- day 1: arrive late
- day 2: just enjoy walking around the old town and Lazienki Park
- day 3: take a morning bus to Kazimierz Dolny; sightseeing around KD
- day 4: go hiking from KD (unless it's raining)
- day 5: return to Warsaw, maybe see the archeological museum there
- day 6: return home in the early evening
