December 27, 2004Summer in Siberia
For those who want to read a more structured report about my trip to Siberia than what I posted on this blog (and with less spelling errors to boot), I just posted a travel story on bootsnall: Summer in Siberia. Unfortunately my own experiences are totally dwarfed by those of Alastair Humphreys, who's been cycling far more north than I've been, in the middle of winter. His most recent story Remembering a little Uzbek is very moving and absolutely mind-blowing. Compared to that, I might as well have written a story about an exciting trip to my local park. And if you want to read a less structured report of trip, his travel companion Rob is keeping a blog about the same journey, entitled Cycling Home from Siberia. And they're doing it for a good cause, too. Anyone wanna start a fanclub with me? :P Comments
