Chengdu and the Pandas

Got to Chengdu on a bus which was crowded, had chicns , dogs and travelled over roads like some of our building sites for about 9 hours.
As you could guess it was good to get there even though the city was smoggy, dirty looking but massive.
Went to the Panda research centre next day early to see the work they were doing to try to increase the panda population. They had two baby pandas in incubators loke babies and about 35 pandas in the centre in different areas.

Genetic DNA fingerprinnting was taking place there and over the world to reduce inbreeding and increase the genetic pool.

Interesting and the pandas were eating bamboo as if it was going out of fashion.

Next day we left Chendu for Mount Emai.
