I read quite a bit while I was in Cusco since I had some quiet nights at my homestay. And, my trip from Cusco to Arequipa ended up requiring 4 hours in the Lima airport (!), so I read about 200 pages that day. I'm not reading as much right now, but I'm sure as I head out on my own for Lake Titicaca tomorrow, starting with a five-hour bus ride, that that will change.

It can be hard to find quality books on the road. I already finished the two I brought with me, and was able to trade with a few friends I made in Cusco for two more decent books, but once they're done, I fear the quality will start to go downhill. Or, I may be able to re-read the classics! I went to a book exchange today (where people pick up and drop off books), and they had The Great Gatsby as well as Tom Jones, both of which I read in college and don't remember very well. I ended up leaving without anything, though, after trying to explain in Spanish to the guy there that I'm really picky about what I read, and that I couldn't really say what I was looking for, just that I'd know it when I saw it!

Anyway, I've updated my Reading List, so you can find out what I've been reading so far. Next up is Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain. A supposed classic of travel literature, but I'm a little afraid it'll be too dry for me. We'll see.
